Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her incredibly praised performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The movie Piano has won several awards for her, among them an Oscar. The talented actress began her career as an actor on the stage, performing in a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Acting has always been her interest. When she was in fifth grade, she acted as Helen Keller. Following a bout of mumps, she became deaf on the one side of her ear. But, it did not stop her ambition to pursue a career as an actress. She studied drama at college before moving between Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dream. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and the two collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart which was Hunter's debut film. Following her move in Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and scored an acting role as a support for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. Since then she has appeared in many shows and TV films over the course of more than 30 years. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
